Call for Volunteer: Higashihiroshima International Festa2026

We are looking for volunteer sgtaff to help organize the “Higashihiroshima International Festa 2026” (hereafter referred to as “the Festa”), which will be held on Sunday, October 25.

What is the Higashihiroshima International Festa 2026

People from many countries introduce their cultures, sell food and other items, perform songs and dances, and connect through friendship.

Recruitment Details

We will build the event together, sharing ideas for venue decorations and event content. Volunteer staff are expected to take responsibility for completing tasks from the preparation through to the event day. 

If you are interested in international exchange or enjoy creating events, let's work together to make an event happen!

In addition, the volunteer staff will work together to design an original T-shirt, which will be given to all staff on the day of the Festa!

【Application period】：Friday, June 19, 2026 - Monday, July 13, 2026
【Eligibility】：Approximately 40 people, junior high school students and older ※Junior high and high school students must have parental consent. (A Consent form will be distributed at the Briefing session on July 15.)

We plan to hold meetings as follows (1~4). Meetings will be held on weekday evenings, approximately 2 hours each.

※Transportation expenses (2,000 yen) will be provided to those who participate in three or more meetings.

1. Volunteer Staff Briefing Meeting

【Content】A detailed explanation of the schedule and process leading up to this year’s Festa. Information about the Volunteer Staff Exchange Meeting on July 24 will also be provided.
Applicants for Volunteer Staff are encouraged to attend “1. Volunteer Staff Briefing Meeting.”
【Date and Time】Wednesday, July 15, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
【Location】Higashihiroshima Arts and Cultural Hall Kurara, Room 303

2. Volunteer Staff Exchange Meeting and committee

【Content】Interact with volunteer staff and share ideas for the event flyer.
【Date & Time】Friday, July 24, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
【Location】Higashihiroshima Citizens’ Culture Center (Sunsquare), Conference Room 1・2

3. Committees

【Content】Sharing ideas and working together to prepare for the Festa.
【Date & Time】*Please attend two of the three commitees.

・Wednesday September 16th
All commitees are from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM (tentative）
【Location】Civic Cooperation Center (Higashihiroshima City Office, North Building 1F)

4. Plenary Exchange Meeting with management staff and participants (booth exhibitors, display presenters, and performers) 

【Content】Interact with all volunteer staff and participants.
【Date & Time】Wednesday, October 14th, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
【Location】Higashihiroshima Arts and Cultural Hall Kurara, Room 303 (tentative)
