Non-Japanese Residents Orientation Service（外国人生活オリエンテーション）

Hello everyone. Welcome to Higashihiroshima City! 

Your new life in Japan is just beginning. Have you done all you need to in order to prepare for life in Japan?

I’m sure you came to Japan full of hopes and dreams, but at the same time with some worries. So what can you do to get used to Japanese society as soon as possible, and to be able to enjoy your time in Japan? What are the steps necessary to be able to live a safe and relaxed life here? If you have worries like these, rest assured you are not the only one. Non-Japanese residents living in Japan tend to share a number of anxieties and worries. Of course language is one, but then there are worries about Japanese culture, fitting into Japanese society, and official procedures and paperwork.

In order to minimize these worries and anxieties, Higashihiroshima City offers a free orientation service for non-Japanese residents. This orientation is an excellent chance for you to be able to learn something of Japanese society, at an early stage of your stay in Japan.

Please make use of this service, and come to an orientation for non-Japanese residents.

Distribution of the ‘Living Guide Book for Foreign Residents’ and other multi-language information materials

Information about the National Health Insurance and National Pension schemes

Information about child-raising and the education system

Information about consultation services for non-Japanese residents

Information about Japanese classes

Explanations about how to separate and dispose of household garbage

Other (individual questions can be answered)

Orientations can be held at any convenient time during the above hours.

It is advisable to make an appointment by email in advance.
