Collection points for old cloth and used clothing（古布・古着の回収）

With the aim of reducing "burnable garbage" and reusing the materials in Southeast Asia and elsewhere, city hall (main building, branch offices, and local offices) and some community centers have been collecting old cloth and clothing since April 1, 2013.
The collected old cloth and clothing is sold to recycling companies and becomes revenue for the city.
The recycling companies sort the items, and of those that can be reused, those that can be used as used clothing are exported to Southeast Asia and North Africa, while the rest are reused as industrial rags.
Please note that the items subject to collection may change suddenly due to fluctuations in transaction prices among recycling companies, etc.

Textile items such as clothing, underwear, and towels that have been washed and are free of stains and odors.

How to dispose of items（出し方）

Tie them with string or place them in a plastic bag (paper bags are not allowed) and place them in a collection box located at the collection box location.

Items that cannot be collected（出せないもの）

Items that are dirty or smelly even after washing
(Examples) Items with oil stains, food or drink stains, or items with air fresheners or perfume on them
Clothing with company or organization names embroidered or printed on it
(Examples) Items with company names on the chest or over the shoulder on the back
*Brand names and logos are fine.
Clothing with insulation and down for heat retention
(Examples) Down coats, winter clothes, jumpers, down jackets, gloves, etc.
Items that are wet or have mold growing on them
