AIDS Tests and Counselling（エイズの検査と相談）

Although the number of reported cases of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection and AIDS is on the decline, there is concern about the impact of reduced testing opportunities due to new coronavirus infections. A single episodes of unprotected sexual intercourse can result in infection. If you are concerned about infection, please get tested for HIV. If you have a sexually transmitted disease such as syphilis, you are more likely to be infected with HIV.

You can receive an AIDS test, and counselling regarding AIDS, at prefectural health centers. You can use a health center other than in the area in which you live. Tests and counselling are both free and anonymous.

★ It is necessary to make a reservation in advance if you wish to receive an AIDS test.
