(New) 2024 One-off Economic Countermeasure Support Payments

Content of the Support Payment（給付金の内容）

Households Exempt from Resident Tax or Households Subject Only to Per-Capita Resident Tax

A Support Payment of 100,000 yen per household will be paid to the head of households that are exempt from resident tax or subject only to the per-capita portion of Resident Tax, for the 2024-25 financial year.

Additional Support for Children

Among the households that are exempt from resident tax or subject only to the per-capita portion of Resident Tax, for the 2024-25 financial year, an additional fee of 50,000 yen per child will be paid according to the number of
dependent children under the age of 18 (born after April 2, 2006).

Procedures to Receive the Support Payment（給付金の支給手続き）

Those eligible will receive a notification from the City Office in early July.

Please fill out the confirmation and application form enclosed with the notification, attach the necessary documents, use the reply envelope, and submit it within the application deadline.

（1）Eligibility Requirements

All residents of the household on the Basic Resident Register as of June 3, 2024 must be exempt from Resident Tax, or subject only to the per-capita portion of Resident Tax.

※1．Households must not have been eligible for the One-off Economic Countermeasure Support Payment for the 2023-24 Financial Year.
※2．Households must not include the head of a household eligible for the One-off Economic Countermeasure Support
Payment for the 2023-24 Financial Year.

However, the household is not eligible if all members of the household are supported by other dependent relatives who are subject to Resident Tax.

（2）Items to confirm and necessary documents

Households exempt from Resident Tax, or subject only to the per-capita portion of Resident Tax

• Confirmation and application form
  ・Please fill in the financial institution account information where you will receive the Support Payment.
  ・If a proxy other than the head of the household will receive the Support Payment, you also need to fill in the proxy column on the reverse.

       *If you are applying via application form, we cannot accept applications by proxy.

• Necessary documents to include
  ・Identification document * Copy of health insurance card, driver's license, My Number card (front), etc.
  ・Documents to confirm receiving account * Copy of bankbook, cash card, etc.
  ・If you wish to have a proxy apply for or receive the Support Payment, the proxy’s identification document

Only required for those filling out the application form

If you moved in after January 2, 2024, you need a copy of the ‘2024-25 Resident Taxation and Tax Exemption Certificate’ issued by the municipality where you were living as of January 1, 2024.

Extra support for children

• Confirmation form
  ・With regard to the payment of additional support for children, the names of children under the age of 18 to
  whom the scheme is expected to be applicable are listed. Please check the dependent relationship and tick the
  box in the dependent confirmation column. In addition, if you have a dependent child whose name is not listed,
  please fill in the name, etc. in a blank line and send the form together with the necessary attached documents.
• Necessary documents to include
  ・Copies of health insurance cards for all children eligible for the child premium
