Adjustment benefit for the fixed tax reduction(調整給付金)
Contents of the benefit(給付金の内容)
For those who qualify for the fixed amount tax reduction (※1) but are not expected to receive the full tax reduction, an ‘adjustment benefit’ will be paid, calculated by rounding up the remaining tax reduction amount to the nearest
10,000 yen. Procedures are required to receive the benefit.
※1 The fixed amount tax reduction is a system that reduces the tax amount by 30,000 yen for the 2024 income tax and 10,000 yen for the 2024 individual inhabitant tax for each dependent (excluding those living overseas), including the taxpayer and their spouse living in the same household, for a total of 40,000 yen.
Eligibility(支給対象者)
(Determined based on household circumstances as of June 3, 2024.)
Those whose eligible fixed tax reduction exceeds the taxpayer's ‘estimated income tax amount for 2024 (※2)’ or ‘individual inhabitant tax income amount for 2024’ based on taxation information available in 2024.
Those whose total income exceeds 18,050,000 yen are not eligible.
※2 As this amount will not be finalized in 2024, the amount of income tax for 2024 is estimated based on the previous year's income tax amount for 2023.
How to apply(申請方法)
Eligible applicants will receive a notification from the City Office at the end of July.
Once you have prepared the Confirmation Form and necessary documents, please use the enclosed return envelope to apply.
Confirmation Form(確認書)
- Please fill in the information about your financial institution account to receive the benefit.
- If a proxy of the taxpayer will be receiving the benefit, the proxy
application section on the reverse must be filled in.
Required documents to enclose(必要な同封書類)
- Identification document
A copy of one of the following: Health Insurance Certificate, driver's license, My Number card (front), residence card,
etc. - A document to verify the receiving account
A copy of your bankbook, cash card, etc.
For online banking, a copy of the financial institution name, branch name, account number, and account holder
- If you wish to have a proxy apply for or receive the item, a copy of the proxy’s identification document
