The Japanese Education System(日本の教育制度)

In Japan, compulsory education is the nine years covered by elementary school (six years, from 6 to 12 years of age) and junior high school (three years, from 12 to 15 years of age). Other than this, there are three years of high school, and four years of university. All schools begin the academic year in April, but some universities begin the academic year in October.
