Child-rearing Support Allowance to Counteract High Prices（物価高対応子育て応援手当）

Based on the national comprehensive economic measures, “Child-rearing Support Allowance to Counteract High Prices” of 20,000 yen per eligible child will be provided to households receiving the Child Allowance.

1．How to apply for the payment（申請方法）

In principle, you do not need to apply.

＊If you do not want the support allowance or if you want to change the receiving bank account, send back the notification form.

However, those who fall under the conditions below are required to submit an application. (If you have received a benefit notice, no application is needed.)

Those who are required to apply（申請が必要な方）

• Guardians of children born from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026
• Public servants receiving child allowances from their government office
• Guardians who need to apply for child allowance due to divorce (including ongoing divorce mediation) on or after October 1.

2．Eligible Children（対象児童）

The following children are eligible.

1. Children who are eligible for the child allowance for September 2025.
   ※Children born in September are eligible for this support allowance if they qualify for the October child allowance.
2. Children born from October 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

3．Payment Recipient（支給対象者）

The recipient of the child allowance for (1) above, or the guardian of (2) above who is the main earner of the family.

4．Payment Amount（支給額）

20,000 yen per eligible child (one time only)

5．Payment Timing（支給時期）

Payments will start sequentially from February 27th in Higashihiroshima city. If you cannot confirm the deposit on the payment date stated in the notice, please contact the help desk on the back.
However, for those who are required to apply, the payment timing will vary depending on when the application is submitted.

6．Payment Method（支給方法）

1. Child allowance recipient
   In principle, the support allowance will be transferred into the bank account that received child allowance in October 2025, or the bank account specified in the notification form.
   (*Children born in September 2025: the support allowance will be transferred into the bank account that received child allowance in December  2025.)
2. Guardian who applied
   The support allowance will be transferred into the bank account specified in the application form.

Note: If the transfer is unable to be processed due to your bank account's closure, change, etc., you will not receive your payment. If you cannot confirm the deposit on the payment date stated in the notice, please contact the following help desk.

What if I moved?（引っ越した場合はどうなりますか？）

The support allowance will be transferred from the municipality (including special wards) that paid the child allowance for September (or October for children born in September 2025) into the child allowance account, or the account specified in the notification form. For any inquiries, please contact the municipality where you lived in before moving.

What if my child/children and I have fled our home due to domestic violence?（DV被害により、こどもとともに避難していますが、どうなりますか？）

If you have already completed procedures to change the recipient of child allowances in the municipality to which you have fled, you can receive this support allowance. Please contact the municipality as soon as possible. You do not need to update your certificate of residence or contact your spouse’s municipality.

While Higashihiroshima City may contact you at your home, workplace, or the like, the city will never ask you to use an ATM or transfer a handling fee or the like for payment.
