Higashihiroshima City Disaster Prevention Email Service

The Higashihiroshima City Disaster Prevention Email Service is a free service that provides information about earthquakes, extreme weather, evacuation locations, civil protection measures, etc. The information is sent from Higashihiroshima City to the mobile phones or smartphones of registered users.

The service is available in seven languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese and Vietnamese).

Both registering for and using the service are free.

The user is responsible for data usage charges and line usage charges when registering and receiving e-mails.

Information that may be sent

The information that is sent by disaster prevention emails may be revised as circumstances demand.
Please be aware that some disaster information may not be sent.

Information from the city will not be distributed in languages other than Japanese. If you wish to check the same content, please register on the Citizens’ Portal Site or check on the Hiroshima Prefecture Disaster Prevention Web.

Information from the central government

Earthquake information

Emergency information about earthquakes of seismic intensity 4 or over, or long-period seismic ground motion of class 3 or higher.

Extreme weather information

Weather warnings, special warnings, information regarding extremely heavy rain over a short period, landslide warnings.

Tsunami information

Large tsunami warnings, tsunami warnings, tsunami cautions.

Civil prevention information

Ballistic missile attacks, air raids, guerrilla and special forces attacks, large-scale terrorism.

Information from Higashihiroshima City

Evacuation orders, etc.

Issuance and cancellation of evacuation orders, areas affected.

Evacuation locations

Names and statuses (opening times, etc.) of evacuation locations.

Other emergency information

Road closures, typhoon information, landslide information, flooding information, information about dangerous animals, other notices.

How to register

(1)Please access one of the following registration addresses from your mobile phone or smartphone.

(2)An email window will be displayed. Please send the email as it is.

There is no need to write anything in the subject or the body of the email.

(3)You will be provisionally registered. Please complete the full registration.

You will receive an email about the full registration for the email service.
Please use the URL at the end of the email to go to the registration site.
The registration screen will be shown. Please press the ‘Register’ button.

(4)You will receive an email confirming your registration.

This is the end of the registration process.

Changing or cancelling your registration

Please use the URL for changing or cancelling your registration. This URL can be found at the end of the main text of any of the disaster emails you receive once you have registered.
You will be taken to the screen for changing or cancelling a registration. Please select ‘Change’ or ‘Cancel’.
If you are changing your information, re-register the changed information to complete the process.
If you are cancelling your registration, select ‘Cancel’ to stop receiving emails.

(1)Registering for the service and receiving emails uses data. Communication (data) costs and equipment costs are the responsibility of the user.

(2)Please ensure that your spam email filter settings are correct.
