About Oversized Garbage（粗大ごみについて）

There are also size restrictions. Please contact the city for details.

Oversized garbage must be disposed of by one of the following methods:（粗大ごみは以下のいずれかの方法で処分してください）

1. Put the garbage out on your community’s oversized garbage collection day (free)
2. Take the garbage directly to a garbage processing facility yourself (free)
3. Request collection and transportation from a city-authorized contractor (fee required)

1. Put the garbage out on your community’s oversized garbage collection day（地域の粗大ごみの日に出す）

Oversized garbage collection is provided only after local communities have secured and manage a collection site, and only when a neighborhood association or other community organization submits a request for collection. Collection methods and disposal procedures vary depending on your area.

Oversized Garbage Collection Schedule

Residents of the Saijo, Hachihonmatsu, Shiwa, and Takaya areas

To prevent unauthorized dumping by people from outside the area, collection schedules are not made public.

Please check your neighborhood circular notices or ask your neighborhood association.

Residents of the Kurose, Toyosaka, Kochi, and Akitsu areas

Please refer to your district’s Household Garbage Collection Schedule.

Residents of the Fukutomi area

To prevent unauthorized dumping by people from outside the area, collection schedules are not made public.

If you do not know the collection date or location, please contact the Fukutomi Branch Office (082-435-2211).

2. Take the garbage directly to a garbage processing facility yourself（ごみ処理施設へ直接自己搬入する）

If you are able to transport bulky garbage to a garbage processing facility yourself, it can be disposed of free of charge.

3. Request collection and transportation from a city-authorized contractor（収集運搬を市の許可業者に依頼する）

If you wish to hire a contractor, you must use a company licensed by Higashihiroshima City to collect and transport general garbage (solid garbage). Under the Garbage Management and Public Cleansing Law, persons without the required license are prohibited from transporting another person’s garbage.

Authorized contractors are assigned to the area where you live. You cannot request collection from a contractor serving another area. Please contact the contractor directly regarding collection and transportation fees.

If you request collection by an authorized contractor, you must also complete the Household Solid General Garbage (Moving Garbage / One-Time Large-Volume Garbage) Processing Confirmation Application Form (see the link below).

Some items cannot be collected by the city!（市で回収できない製品もあります）

Such items cannot be collected even if disassembled. They also cannot be accepted through taking them directly to a garbage processing facility.
